This is a Japanese-based martial art that was originally taught to the military and police secret service. It is a more complete martial art with further physical and mental development. Designed for men and women, this is a more diversified style that is practical and street-usable.
Students will learn kicks, punches, throws, ground-grappling, joint locks, choke holds, as well as defense against punches, kicks, and weapons. Students wil also learn to strike nerve points, which are specific targets on the body. All movements are made with minimal strength.
Aikijujutsu helps to develop and direct internal and external body energy.
Master Michael Rains
Master Rains has been studying and teaching martial arts for more than 30 years. He is a master in Tang Soo Do and Aikijujutsu, holding a 4th degree black belt in each. Mike also holds black belts in several other martial art disciplines.
While in the Navy, he spent a number of years studying martial arts, and shiatsu in Japan. He has taught in Jr. High Schools, High Schools, Colleges, Adult education classes, and held seminars at small & large companies and police forces.
